B:Loft is inviting you for a bicycle ride to see the autumn colours in Western Luxembourg.

DEPARTURE: on Thursday November 1, 2018 at 9:30 AM from Pirate Ship in the city park, at the intersection between Boulevard du Prince Henri and Avenue Monterey. Look for people with bicycles gathered near the ship. Please be there on time.

ROUTE (SHORT):On cycling routes: Luxembourg -> Mersch -> Colmar Berg -> Useldange -> Noerdange -> Niederpallen -> Beckerich -> Steinfort -> Linger -> Sanem -> Leudelange -> Luxembourg (PC 1, PC 15, PC 12, PC 17, Jhangeli West Tour, PC 12, PC 6, PC 9, PC 1). Picnic on the way. Several train stations on the way to get back to the city.

ROUTE (LONG): We will follow the National Cycling Paths PC 1 and PC 15 (Piste cyclable de l’Alzette) until we reach Colmar Berg where we’ll head west on PC 12 (Piste cyclable de l’Attert) to Noerdange where we will turn into PC 17 (Piste cyclable de l’Ouest) for a quick visit to Niederpallen’s former train station. Then we’ll follow the local cycling route “Jhangeli West Tour” to get back to PC 12 in Beckerich, cross the long cycling tunnel and continue until we reach the south West of Luxembourg to catch the PC 6 (Piste cyclable des Trois Cantons) to Sanem, and PC 9 (Piste cyclable du Faubourg Minier) to Leudelange, and get back on PC 1 in Merl. If needed, there will be a quick stop at a petrol station in Beggen to get some food and drinks and we’ll have a picnic on the way (several options to be discussed).

SURFACE: All ways are paved, but expect some leaves on the road.

WEATHER: Although there’s no such thing as bad weather, but in case of stormy weather B:loft reserves the right to postpone the event.

WHAT TO TAKE: Suitable clothes for the weather, water, lights, food for the picnic and optionally a camera. For the last minute groceries shopping, we’ll ride close to two petrol stations on the way.

FITNESS LEVEL: Suitable for all levels. The beginning is the easiest and the end the hardest. This is a change to find out your fitness level as we’ll cycle close to several train stations where you can catch a train back to the city with your bike (train stations after 20, 30, 70 and 85 km; 2 Euros for a ticket).
