B:tour: Alles Op De Vëlo – Annual Ride Between Mamer And Mersch

On Sunday 16th of July at 11:00 am, B:Loft is taking you to the event Alles op de Vëlo. Let’s meet at the Pirate Ship in Luxembourg City at 11:00am. From there on, we will follow a safe route to Mamer.

The circuit is on a scenic road through the woods (CR 101). On that day it will be closed to motorised vehicles, so cycling will be very safe and enjoyable. Organised by the Mouvement Ecologique, food and drinks are available at different stands along the circuit.

Note that it’s a very popular event and once we join it, it will be difficult to supervise the group. We will stop for briefing when we arrive in Mamer.

Route: Luxembourg – Mamer – Kopstal – Schoenfels – Mersch.

Meeting point

11:00 am: departure from Pirate Ship in the city park, at the intersection between Boulevard du Prince Henri and Avenue Monterey (look for the ice cream stand).

Additional notes

  • We will guide you to where the event starts. There you can either continue on your own or you can cycle with our group but please keep in mind that it’s more complicated as there are many people biking. We will provide you with guidelines once we arrive in Mamer.
  • Either bring your own food/snacks/drinks or stop at one of the numerous stands on the way.
  • One way trip is about 25 km, is mostly flat and suitable for families.
  • Return: either the same way back, follow PC15 back to Luxembourg City from Mersch or visit the Valley of the Seven Castles if you are more adventurous. Should you feel tired, you can catch a train back to the city from Mersch railway station (2€/passenger, bikes are accepted on board free of charge).

The events are available on Facebook and Meetup – registration is not mandatory but it will give us an idea of the number of participants.
