B:Loft is inviting you for a bicycle ride to Maison Néolithique in Blaschette where we will stop for a picnic.
DEPARTURE: on Sunday June 10, 2018 at 11 AM from Pirate Ship in the city park, at the intersection between Boulevard du Prince Henri and Avenue Monterey. Look for people with bicycles gathered near the ship. Please be there on time.
ROUTE: We will follow the National Cycling Paths PC 1 and PC 15 until we reach Bofferdange where we’ll head up into the woods to get to Maison Néolithique. We will have our picnic there. Next, we’ll cycle downhill to Lintgen where you can take the train back to the city or return on an alternative route, along the fields, orchards, pastures and forest. Most of the route is either forbidden or restricted to motorised vehicles. Total distance: around 42km (or 20 if you’re going back to the city by train).
SURFACE: About 8 km of the tour is on unpaved roads (mainly compacted track, gravel) where using a gravel, touring, trekking or mountain bike is recommended. If you’re willing to join us using a road bike, please contact us in advance so we can provide you an alternative route to join the group.
WEATHER: Although there’s no such thing as bad weather, in case of stormy weather B:loft reserves the right to postpone the event.
WHAT TO TAKE: Suitable clothes for the weather, water, food for the picnic and optionally a camera. For the last minute groceries emergencies, we’ll ride close to two petrol stations on the way.
FITNESS LEVEL: A couple of challenging climbs. We will wait for everyone. Our guides will look after the group.
GPS details: GPS file. The route is indicative and may be adjusted for any reason.
